The grassy summits of the Monte Spezie (Strudelköpfe) (7569 feet) in the southeast of the Picco di Vallandro are quickly and easily reached vista and rest areas high above the inner Valle di Landro (Höhlensteintal). On the middle peak and highest of the three Monte Spezie, you will find the Croce dei Reduci (Heimkehrerkreuz) erected in 1982 by the Pustaler front soldiers (Frontkämpfer).
