Hotel Hohe Gaisl is located on Prato Piazza at 2000 m altitude, in the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park. Guests find peace, nature, and an impressive mountain backdrop. Thanks to its sunny high location, Hohe Gaisl is the ideal starting point for summer hikes as well as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter.

Hotel Hohe Gaisl is located on Prato Piazza and can be reached by car all year round.
By car: For the first arrival the booking confirmation is sufficient. Afterwards, we issue a permit for further trips. In winter, winter equipment is mandatory; from Brückele, snow chains are required.
By shuttle or bus: In winter public shuttle buses run to Prato Piazza. In summer, regular buses are available.
▸Does the hotel have a wellness area?
Yes, Hohe Gaisl offers a wellness area with various saunas, a steam bath, and an indoor pool with sunbathing lawn – perfect for relaxing after an active day in the mountains.
▸Is the wellness area included?
Yes, use of the pool, saunas, and relaxation area is included in the room rate.
▸Can children use the wellness area?
Children are allowed to use the indoor pool. The saunas are reserved for adults.
▸Until when can I cancel free of charge?
Cancellation policies depend on the rate and season. In general, for direct bookings free cancellation is possible up to 14 days before arrival; any deposits already paid will be retained. The exact conditions can be found in our terms and in your booking confirmation. We especially recommend families take out travel cancellation insurance.

Yes, a free parking space is available directly at the hotel.

Our popular 3/4 board includes the breakfast buffet, the South Tyrolean afternoon snack, and dinner.
▸Is dinner available if I book only bed & breakfast?
Yes. If you book a room with breakfast, you can add the afternoon snack and/or the dinner flexibly. With half board, dinner is already included – the afternoon snack can be added.
▸Is there a breakfast buffet?
Yes, in the morning a rich buffet with regional products awaits you: fresh bread, homemade cakes, South Tyrolean cheeses and cold cuts, fruit, muesli, and much more.
▸What is the afternoon snack?
In the afternoon we serve a typical South Tyrolean snack buffet with drinks, salads, soups, snacks, and sweet treats – ideal after a mountain tour or a winter day. This snack is included only with the 3/4 board.
▸What is served at dinner?
Dinner offers a combination of South Tyrolean cuisine and Mediterranean influences. It starts with a buffet of antipasti and salads, followed by a daily changing multi-course menu. To finish, a buffet with fresh fruit and homemade desserts invites you to enjoy.
▸Are drinks included?
No, drinks are not included and will be charged separately.
▸Are vegan, gluten-free or lactose-free dishes available?
Yes, on request we also prepare vegan, gluten-free, or lactose-free dishes. Please let us know your requirements when booking or at the latest upon arrival. A surcharge may apply for this service.

Prato Piazza itself is a highlight: wide alpine meadows, impressive mountain scenery, and numerous hiking trails start directly at the hotel. It is the perfect starting point for tours in the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park.

Yes, cross-country ski trails and winter hiking paths start right in front of the hotel.
